| The Balkan Peninsula is the foremost victim of destruction of religious
sites throughout the world |
| At present, according to reports issued by experts researching the destruction
of religious sites around the world on behalf of the Commission for
the Preservation of the World's Sacred Sites, the Balkan Peninsula
has suffered suffering the most serious damage and destruction. Over
many years, this region has suffered continual civil wars caused by
religious and ethnic conflict, and historic sites have suffered serious
destruction. Because of this, Bosnia-Herzegovina was selected as the
first stop on the inspection team's tour. |
