|
At
6.15 am on the morning of October 24th, a batch of Egyptian and Maya artifacts
arrived from six major US museums. Arriving safely aboard a China Airlines
flight, the artifacts' transportation was supervised by Will Jeffers,
Viva Fisher and Chou Hsiu-chin, of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts; Peabody
Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology; and the Museum of Archaeology and
Anthropology at the University of Pennsylvania. On October 25th, a brief
ceremony was held to welcome the crates, attended by Dharma Master Liao
Yi, CEO of the MWR.
After a decade of
preparation, the Museum of World Religions will finally open its doors
to the world, presenting the glory of the world's ten major religions
including Ancient Religions represented by Egypt, and Indigenous Religions
represented by Maya.
