Vegetarianism in vogue in Seoul

A vegetarian restaurant opened recently in Sansung-Dong, Kangnam Ku, in Seoul. The restaurant offers a menu of more than 15 vegetable dishes, including sausages made of soybean, as well as rice, bread and soup. The restaurant has a capacity of 70 seats.

After the smoking-ban trend, vegetarianism is strongly in vogue now becasue people are increasingly concerned about their health and because broadcast media have called attention to the importance of vegetarianism through special New Year programs. People are swarming into vegetarian restaurants, while Web sites and books carrying information on vegetarian food are also becoming popular.
