The 2002 Global Conference on Buddhism will be held in Shah Alam in Malaysia on Dec. 7 this year, according to reports.
The conference is jointly organized by the Young Buddhist Association of Malaysia, the Buddhist Gem Fellowship, and Buddhist Missionary Society Malaysia and co-sponsored by the World Fellowship of Buddhist Youth.

It is estimated that the conference, titled “Buddhism for a Richer Life,” will attract more than 1,000 participants. Speakers at the two-day conference will include Buddhist masters and scholars from around the world, including those from the US, Sri Lanka, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan and Malaysia.
