The tradition of burying the dead with shrouds in the Orthodox Catholic Church comes from the story of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ. He was taken down by the disciples and wrapped in clean linen before burial. Three days later, he resurrected and ascended into Heaven. In the Orthodox Catholic Church, prayers are the main conduct in the burial of the dead. It is sad but solemn. They follow the tradition of wrapping the dead with clean linen after the Shroud of Turin. Changing over time, the patterns on it became more diverse. Nevertheless, Greek prayers, the Cross is used, and the miracle of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is told in the burial.
