Creation, for the artists of D. B. Art Collective, is a gradual and continuous blossoming. Fragments of life, faint imprints of memory, and the quiet stirrings of emotion gather within the vessel of time until, at last, they transmute into colors, lines, and forms. As blossoms unfurl, each work reveals its own singular visage of life.
Every work is a mode of perceiving the world and a disclosure of the inner voice of D. B. Collective’s creators. What they inscribe is not confined to the visible, but extends into the resonances between self, others, and the surrounding world. As blossoms assume differing forms across the seasons, so does each life experience unfold according to its own rhythm, carrying in it a distinct meaning of existence.
Through these colors and strokes, art becomes a language that is silent yet profoundly audible. The viewer confronts more than the images; they enter into the unfolding of lived journeys that speak in their own cadence. Subtle and sincere expressions resemble the inaudible sound of blossoming, awaiting to be perceived and felt.
In the name of love and peace, this exhibition dwells upon the countless ways life may thrive. Through our differences we learn to meet, through understanding we learn to live together, like flowers blooming in a garden, each in its own splendor, weaving a vision rich and harmonious. And when we choose to listen, the sound of blossoming becomes the beginning of understanding, the first whisper of connection.
D.B. Art Collective
Over twenty years ago, Ms. Han Shu‑hua encountered a group of children who loved to paint. She was deeply moved by their creations that brimmed with vitality and broke free from conventional frames.
For most people, daily actions and emotions come naturally. Yet for these children on the autism spectrum, such things can be ten to a hundred times more difficult. Still, painting has accompanied them along the way, illuminating their spirit.
“Will we be able to keep painting in the future? Can creation itself become a kind of career?”
Here, these creators on the autism spectrum are encouraged to continue without hesitation, using their artistic gifts to earn a basic income. They live by showing their most brilliant side, and make the world richer and more beautiful through their unique presence.
