「山．靈．敬」之意義，陳述了原住民族人千百年以來的普世價值。以山林、靈性、敬畏之心，引領現代人重新思索，回返一個能永續善待大自然的生態環境，不同於對大自然予取予求的利己貪念，轉化為以大自然共生、共榮、共享的樸實生活觀與知足態度。世界宗教博物館秉持對生命智慧、信仰精神與自然環境的關懷，與中原大學瓦歷斯．拉拜老師合作策劃「山．靈．敬—回返祖靈智慧的人間淨土」當代藝術特展，希望人們認識原住民族傳統靈性文化的意義與價值。

本展邀請來自阿美族、泰雅族、太魯閣族、賽德克族、魯凱族、排灣族、卑南族、布農族等十六位藝術創作者與作家的參與，從「回返自然」、「靈性觀照」與「生命信仰」三個面向，呈現以大自然靈性為主軸的創作意涵，透過融合生命經驗與思想詮釋的藝術表現，帶出族群的文化特色並跨越既定形式。期待引領觀眾重新思索人類與自然萬物間的關係，開啟一扇純粹、自然，真實面對自我的生命視窗。

“Mountains. Spirit. Respect” delineates a universal value that indigenous people have held for thousands of years. The essence of mountains, spirituality, and respect leads modern people to reexamine and return to an ecological environment that is harmonious with nature. A selfish and greedy exploitation of nature is transformed into a simple and content attitude for a coexisting, mutually beneficial, and shared relationship with nature. The Museum of World Religions is committed to cultivating wisdom, faith, and care for the natural environment. Co-curated with Chung Yuan Christian University professor Walis Labai, we hope that “Mountains. Spirit. Respect - Returning to the Pure Land of Ancestral Wisdom” contemporary art exhibition will encourage people to understand the significance and value behind the spiritual culture and traditions of aboriginal people.

This exhibition invites sixteen artists and writers from the Amis, Atayal, Truku, Sediq, Rukai, Paiwan, Pinuyumayan, and Bunun tribes. From the three aspects of "returning to nature", "spiritual vision" and " beliefs in life", this exhibition presents creative meaning that focuses on the spirituality of nature. By merging the artistic expressions of life experiences and ideological interpretations, it brings out the cultural characteristics of ethnic groups that transcend established forms. We hope to guide audiences to rethink the relationship between humans and the natural world, while opening a pure, natural, and self-reflective window.
