18 世紀時,由緬族英雄阿瑙帕雅(1752-1760)在位所帶領的「貢榜王朝」聲勢浩大,戰無不勝,最終結束 14 世紀以來緬甸分裂的局面,建立了大一統的王國。曼德勒為貢榜王朝首都,此時的造像藝術即稱作「曼德勒風格」,也是延續至今,最常見的緬甸造像風格。造像材質偏好石材與木材;對於站立式的佛像特別青睞,常見左手拉開衣裙的樣式,創造飄動之感。整體服飾表現較為華麗,袈裟有厚實感,衣摺繁複清晰,並鑲嵌玻璃、寶石裝飾,顯得格外精美。

In the 18th century, the Konbaung Dynasty, led by the Burmese hero Alaungpaya, who finally ended Burma’s 14 centuries of division and established a unified kingdom. Mandalay was the capital of the Konbaung Dynasty. Artistic forms from this time are known as "Mandalay style. To this day, Mandalay style is the most common artistic style in Burma. The favored materials are stone and wood, and standing Buddha images feature the distinctive gesture of pulling back the robe with the left hand, creating a flowing effect. The clothing is more ornate and beautiful overall, with monk’s robe that appear thick and solid and have layered folds. Ornaments such as inlaid glass and precious stones make artworks particularly exquisite.
