Ink as Life
Ink is regarded as a flowing life form: it remembers, permeates, and renews itself in the space between spreading over and dying away.
The series titled Lavis au passé composé (Ink Wash in the Past Tense) is a play on euphony of both “ink/life” and the temporal layering implied by the compound past tense. Fragments of older works and new elements are torn, collaged, and framed—past and present reshaped through overlap. This process expresses the serendipity of ink, extending its meaning across time and space.
