The calligraphy of Chinese characters is a distinguished aspect of Chinese culture, where works are appreciated for their aesthetic qualities. Not only it is closely bound to the evolution of the Chinese civilization and cultural heritage, but it also serves as an aesthetic medium among men of letters. Calligraphers copied scriptures and classical texts with great concentration and respect, giving them dynamic life and aesthetic properties.

Master Hsin Tao once said: “Love is our common truth, and peace, our eternal longing. ” Seeing that the world is plagued by natural disasters and conflicts, Taiwan Hai Way Art Association co-hosts “Love and Peace Calligraphy Exhibition” with the Museum of World Religions to pass the Master’s message in contemporary calligraphy. Twenty-two renowned calligraphers and painters are invited to bring out the wisdom and compassion in religious philosophy, and also the search and longing for love and peace.
